I am learning that a lot of brides simply hire someone to do everything else for them. They sign a check, sit back and walk down the aisle. Where that sounds luxurious… I can’t fathom being happy that way. I am really enjoying putting everything together myself (probably because I got a really early start, future brides take note!) and knowing that, when the day actually happens, I’ll have been involved in everything. (I’ll be especially proud of the DIY-ness.)
Here are some bloggy things that I have loved to get ideas from:
Bride and Joy is a super trendy website with pinterest boards galore, beautiful photography and pretty fun DIY ideas for your big day. It’s a little “themey” at times… but every once in a while I find some really great inspiration.
I canNOT get enough of Oh Happy Day. It’s not a wedding blog… it’s the personal blog of a hero of mine, party planner Jordan. Expect to see tons of her ideas at my wedding, from the water bottle chandeliers to her hints of gold. Spend hours here. You’ll love it.
100 Layer Cake. A friend had recommended the site for their pop up shop section, where you can get used wedding goods…but I wasn’t that impressed until I visited their blog. The weddings they highlight are BEAUTIFUL.
I found Lovely Indeed just today. It’s another all over the place blog– but full of fun ideas. Mostly colors and textures.
I am including a sort of strange choice, Lake Tahoe Weddings, for this one certain post about Bohemian Wedding Decor because I have dreamed about some of the photos on the post. Busy, sure. But full of rich jewel tones and amazing ideas for color combinations and general whimsy.
Green Wedding Shoes. Another blog I dream about… I’m linking you to a specific post that is like a hipster/succulent lover’s dream come true. That sounds weird.
So I have one this to say about this blog: My dress may or may not be on it. (I am hoping to make a debut myself, ahem.) Kudos, Chic Vintage Brides.
So there you go! Are there any blogs that you just can’t get enough of? Let me know!
