So here we are– one week away from my wedding!!

*WARNING!* The rest of this entry includes total wedding spoilers. Don’t read this entry if you aren’t supposed to or if you don’t want to know what I’m going to look like on my wedding day.

Ahem.

There are so many amazing things that I want to tell you right now but I can’t (they will serve as excellent blog posts in the future, no worries) but for now I absolutely HAVE to share some of these photos with you.

Alecia Mitchell is a great friend of mine– and also one of the most amazing photographers I’ve ever met. She is a gold mine of creativity– her pictures are natural but polished looking and she is such a warm, good soul that it’s ridiculously easy to be around her for hours and be comfortable. When it came time for me to think about bridal portraits I wanted her to do them super badly but I was afraid to ask her. One night, while I was playing a show at her bar (she owns my home away from home ((aka my favorite place to play music)) “The Whiskey”) we were talking about the wedding and she was like, “Hey! Let me do your bridal portraits or something!”

I tried not to freak out or start crying or beg her to tell me she was being for real so I was like, “Ohhh, yeah girl. That sounds cool.” (#pokerface.jpg)

And, as you’ll see, she did NOT disappoint. We got together on an overcast day, I skipped around in my wedding dress, and she made magic happen. EVERYONE that has seen these pictures has been floored by how beautiful they are– and I can’t think of a better way to remember this time in my life– these photos make me really feel like a bride.
