See that? That is a picture of Napkin’s lunch. Let me explain…
We had Easter dinner together by ourselves (our first little family gathering in a while) and I made way too much food. I packed it all away in Tupperware… But made sure to make a lovely little lunch box so that he would have lunch the next day. Unfortunately there was too much Tupperware in the fridge and poor Napkin chose the wrong thing… Leaving him to choke down nearly a pound of green bean casserole the following day.

Even though I forget often, one of my favorite things to do is to make sure Napkin has lunch at work. Maybe it’s my ovaries going nuts or something but it makes me feel like I’m a part of his day and that makes me feel good, even if it seems insignificant.

Recently I’ve been thinking of other little things… Like how thoughtful Napkin can be. For example:

This is what I woke up to on Easter morning. I love any excuse to buy presents and make a fuss and where Napkin could care less about that sort of thing… I am never left out. Sure, I’m a grown-up. It doesn’t matter! (You’d better believe that the Easter bunny didn’t forget about him either.)

I guess the point of this is that it’s nice to remember the little things. Between wedding planning, working and general craziness… It’s such a relief to look down at a hollow chocolate rabbit or your packed lunch and remember what’s important.
