I feel like every time I post in this blog something crazy/exciting/insane happens… and as I type this, I am realizing that perhaps it’s because I am just a bride planning her own wedding and that makes me crazy/excited/insane.

Over the past weekend Sissy and I spent a good amount of time working on the Save the Date cards so be on the look out for a little handmade note in the mail! I am so happy that Sissy decided to help us with the artwork. She’s my favorite.

I had really struggled with what to do for our invitations and save the date cards. I wanted to do both because I knew one could be a little less serious than the other… and I also wanted to show off how talented Sissy is. But the idea of doing the FOR REAL invitation was a little daunting for everyone. I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg but I really wanted something unique. So instead of spending money, I spent time doing the Save The Date cards myself. I got all of my supplies at Michael’s over the course of a couple weeks and Sissy and I stamped, decorated and addressed all of them. If this is something you’re considering I definitely recommend having someone help you stay organized and making sure you collect your addresses and keep them in one place. One of the harder parts of getting this done was that I had addresses all over the place.
