So I need your help.
Saint Thomas Preservation Hall has a pretty strict no litter policy. This goes so far as to prohibit the throwing of rice, lavender… anything that would be left on the ground. Napkin and I are going to do a quick little catwalk through the crowds (on our way to the after party to hang out with everybody even later, wink wink) and I wanted to do the traditional exit thing…
…
But I’m terrified of sparklers.
I mean. Not like totally one hundred percent terrified… but terrified enough to not want them raining fire down on me and my probably totally flammable wedding dress and new husband. I’m kind of thinking of lanterns or something… but I don’t know.
So this is what I ask of you…
What should I do for my grand exit? (And don’t say bubbles. That’s a little too nineties rave for me.)
Thanks in advance!
birdseed!
oh- and then hire some birds! nothing will be left!
I read this and I immediately imagined a bird mafia sliding me a contract across the table.
i love that story.
Haha! Which one?
Release butterflies! Google it!
We’re not doing sparklers either. I was a little freaked out about it, but was willing to sacrifice for pretty pictures. But my fiance didn’t want to do it, since he’s afraid of getting little burn marks in his clothes.
I accidently hit submit too early…. But what if instead you did ribbon wands? Or gave people noismarker like you’d see at New Year’s or have them ring bells?
And just letting you know I’m Miss Ariel on weddingbee.
Well, firstly! Hello, Miss Ariel! And the ribbon wands are a good idea. Have you ever seen anyone do lanterns? A friend of mine and I saw some amazing pictures… I’ll do a little post about it so you can see what I’m talking about. Do you have a blog?
